Isostatic Pressing Services (IPS) is a Toll HIP company started in 2015 primarily to do toll hipping for the investment casting industry due to its prime location.  Some of the products that go through IPS are: medical implants, tungsten carbide, ceramics, titanium, and superalloys, and aerospace parts. 

IPS is a sister company of Isostatic Toll Services  (ITS), and  American Isostatic Presses (AIP).  ITS provides quality toll services to the south eastern United States and Mexico with a new NADCAP AC7102\6:HIP certification.  Parent company, AIP has been in business since 1991 supplying companies all over the world with both Hot and Cold isostatic presses.  As a company IPS itself has the unique advantage of gaining all the industry technological improvements from AIP as well as having its equipment maintained by people who have been in the business for over 20 years.

​Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) is a process using high pressure and temperature over a set time to improve material properties. Precisely computer controlled to specific parameters yield the desired improved properties. A furnace is inside a pressure vessel is pressurized with argon. The uniform pressure and elevated temperature allows for desification and eliminating any product defects while at the same time improving the mechanical properties.

HIP systems are used in many of today's leading industries, such as aerospace, biomedical, industrial, automotive, electronics, defense and power generation.

HIP systems can be used with a wide variety of materials such as: Ceramics, Aluminum, magnesium, copper alloys, Nickel/Cobalt superalloys, Tungsten Carbide  Titanium – cast and powders  and Steel casting, Magnetic materials, and Plasma spray coatings

18” diameter x 85” long, operating to 1225 C and 30,000psi


This HIP system features a Molybdenum furnace capable of 1225 C in Argon. Typical heat ramp is 10 C per minute. Temperature gradient is +/- 15 C. Pressure control +/- 250 psi. Steel and stainless steel load shelves are available as well as Alumina plates to prevent sticking.
